322 Nigerians evacuated from the US arrived in Nigeria. The evacuees stranded within the US as a result of Coronavirus pandemic.
The evacuated Nigerians departed the US onboard an Ethiopian airline flight and arrived at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos on Saturday, July 4.
In accordance the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM. All of the evacuees tested negative for COVID-19 and can now proceed into the necessary 14 days self-isolation.

NIDCOM wrote on Twitter While welcoming the evacuees. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, chairman of the Commission. Stated one other flight from India with evacuated Nigerians predicted within the hours of tomorrow, July 5.
She disclosed a number of passengers not allowed to board the flight because they failed to supply their COVID-19 test results.’
”Welcome home from the USA , as we await flight from India in the early hours of tomorrow. Unfortunately , some passengers were not allowed to board because they did not present their COVID 19 tests” Dabiri-Erewa tweeted.
