Former WWE wrestler James “Kamala” Harris passed away at age 70. WWE verified his death on their official web page.
The WWE announcement did not say the reason of death but corresponding to a Facebook post by Kenny Casanova, the writer who co-authored Harris’s life story, the wrestler died of the coronavirus.
Harris, performed in the ring as Kamala, attained his WWF unveiling in 1984, conferring to WWE’s website.
In a profession that extend over more than two decades, Harris fought many of wrestling’s superstars, including Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker and Andre the Giant.
Standing at 6’7″ and weighing 380 pounds, fans knew Harris as “Kamala” or “The Ugandan Giant”. Kamala described by an African mask, war paint and a loincloth.
Other wrestlers took to social media on Sunday August 9, to honour Harris by means of the hashtag #ripkamala.
