Muslims to continue fasting as new moon has not yet been sighted

The moon has NOT been sighted in Saudi Arabia. #EidAlFitr will be celebrated on Sunday 24th May 2020.
Saturday will mark a regular fasting day and Eid will be celebrated on Sunday.
Thus 30 days of fasting will be completed.

Muslims in Nigeria are to continue fasting until tomorrow May 23 as the new moon which signifies the end of Ramadan was not sighted this evening May 22.

Many Muslims had thought today would be the end of the fast and tomorrow shall be Eid Fitri celebration which signifies the end of the fast.

Nonetheless, the fasting continues tomorrow May 23 whereas the Eid Fitri celebration anticipated to now hold on Sunday May 24. That is in response to the National Moonsighting Committee Nigeria.

There was no positive sighting report of the Shawwal crescent in Nigeria, tomorrow is 30th Ramadan.
