Taking the country’s total infections to 2,950.
The NCDC in a tweet stated that of the new infections, 43 are in Lagos, 32 from Kano.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed that Nigeria recorded 148 new cases of the novel coronavirus, bringing the country’s total infections to 2,950.
This was revealed in a tweet at 11:4 pm on Tuesday night, May 5, by the NCDC. According to the health agency’s breakdown of the new infections, 43 are in Lagos, 32 from Kano, 14 in Zamfara, 10 from FCT, and 9 in Katsina.
Taraba recorded 7, 6 in Borno and Ogun each. 3 each in Edo, Kaduna and Bauchi.
2 each in Adamawa and Gombe. While Plateau, Sokoto and Kebbi states had one new case each.
The number of discharged persons went from 417 to 481, while 5 more fatalities were recorded as the death toll rose from 93 to 98.
