The Osun State Government approved the reconstruction of 22 roads over three senatorial districts to open up economic activities across the state.
In a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Civic Orientation, Mrs Funke Egbemode, the government, after the State Executive Council meeting on Monday, said it was assigned to laying a strong pillar of infrastructural developments towards delivering economic growth and success to the state.
“The council, with the strategic intent to open up economic growth and activities and bring governance and development to the people, has approved the reconstruction of 22 roads across three senatorial districts, some of which had not rehabilitated in about three decades.
“Some of the roads noted for reconstruction or rehabilitation include Olufi Marker-Oke Church-Adenuga junction- Trumpet Bridge Gbongan; Kuta Palace Road junction- Isale Oba/Asamu junction Road; Gof junction- Florentina junction along Ori Oke Pure Water, Osogbo; and Nike Gallery- Ido Osun township-Airport Road with Palace spur, Ido Osun.”
“Others include Inisa Township Road, Akede Iyaloja junction- Amulegbaro- Ojege Community road, Osogbo; Ileogbo- Gbongan; Oyan- Otan Ayegbaju; Iresi- Otan Ayegbaju; and Iperindo- Ipetu Ijesha.
