The first meeting of the Federal Executive Council is currently in progress at the Presidential Villa, Abuja with the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), chairing.

Whereas Buhari, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, and some other members are in attendance from the Villa, others are partaking virtually.

Prior to the meeting into a closed-door session, Buhari inaugurated three members of the Code of Conduct Bureau and a member of the Police Service Commission.

They are Ehiozuwa Ogbonayinma, Babatunde Balogun and Benedict Umeano for the CCB and Onyemuche Nnamani of the PSC.

Members also performed a minute silence in honour of two former ministers, Jubril Martins-Kuye and Bala Kaoje, died not long ago.
